For the second year, Tourism Cares will bring WTTC delegates together to give back to our host city the day before Global Summit begins to show the industry’s support of conservation and preservation. Located just outside of downtown Dallas, the Trinity River Audubon Center invites visitors of all ages to explore miles of trails; learn about local birds and wildlife at its Children’s Discovery Garden; and participate in a wide range of special events and programs. This model of green construction and operation is a vital refuge and resource for Dallas residents and tourists alike. Trinity River Audubon Center has 5 miles of established trails and many acres of wetland ponds and grasslands. Volunteers will help these diverse ecosystems by clearing and expanding existing trails, removing invasive species, restoring native prairies and wetland habitats and planting native grasses and trees.

World Domination Summit: Portland, Oregon
July 9th – 13th, 2015
The World Domination Summit (WDS) is a gathering of creative, interesting people from all over the world. Every summer, thousands of people travel to Portland, Oregon for an immersive experience in life, work, and travel.
The weekend consists of three primary activities: main-stage events with keynote speakers that are attended by the entire group, workshops that focus on specific topics, and lots of meetups, parties, and informal engagement. Despite the large number of people who attend, WDS is an introvert-friendly zone, and everyone who participates is a big part of the event.
WDS was founded by Chris Guillebeau, explorer of the world and New York Timesbestselling author of The $100 Startup.
WTTC Summit: Madrid, Spain
April 15th-16th, 2015
The 2015 Global Summit in Madrid gathered together private and public leaders from around the world to look at some of the disrupting influences affecting and challenging Travel & Tourism businesses today. Back in Europe for the first time in seven years, the Summit took full advantage of its location and looked at global issues of disruption and reinvention with a European lens. From the impact of financial recession and economic austerity that has radically changed the way people use and book travel, to natural and civil disasters that bring about a heightened need for enhanced security and safety practices, and to the evolving demands of an ever-connected consumer, the Summit reflected on how companies and destinations not only deal with these changes. It also looked at how they then go on to reinvent their products, businesses and ways of working, to emerge stronger and more resilient to meet future challenges head on.
